Presentation Manor is an inclusive Christian community founded by Roman Catholic religious women and men in Ontario. It takes its name from the gospel story of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:22-38) which has traditionally been a special feast day for religious sisters, brothers and priests. Our hope is that religious women and men will live collaboratively with other men and women of Catholic, Christian and other faith traditions, and that all will come to know the meaning of an inclusive, welcoming community that together we will call home. Whether you are a member of a religious order, or a single person, or a married couple, we hope that you will find in our residence a community where your needs for independent or assisted living can be met.
This residence for religious men and women who have made a vow of poverty and for aging or disabled adults is located on a 4 acre site in Scarborough, Toronto, very close to Providence Healthcare and the Toronto Transit Commission Warden Subway Station and next door to the popular Tim Horton.
As you walk through the front doors, you will immediately know you are home at Presentation Manor. You will enter a spacious foyer with a welcoming fireplace where friends can meet.
We combine an active and supporting lifestyle while assuring your comfort and safety. You have a choice of a spacious studio suite, a spacious one bedroom suite, a spacious one bedroom plus den suite or a spacious two-bedroom suite.
Our dining room will provide healthy, nutritious and delicious food and all rental rates provide for up to three meals daily.
A Catholic chapel is at the very centre of the life of the community and mass will be celebrated daily as well as other liturgical services. The spiritual welfare of our residents is a primary value.
You are free to enjoy the retirement lifestyle that best suits your personal needs. You can enjoy the walkways permitting you to walk around the whole building while you enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds. You can enjoy the well-maintained spa, the beauty salon, the pool or go to the bar for a drink with friends and other residents before dinner.
Residents can enjoy a lifestyle that is tailored to their personal interests and needs. Residents have access to a few well-equipped kitchens, a workshop to work on their favorite hobbies, a pool, a library, a games room and a multipurpose room where you can enjoy a movie.
You can of course invite family and friends for a gathering for coffee in the dining room or for dining in a private dining room or again for drinks before dinner in the fully licensed games and bar area.
A shuttle bus service owned and operated for the exclusive use of residents of Presentation Manor will be at your service to transport residents, for example, to a nearby shopping centre.
