Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Deirdre Flanagan came to Canada in 1975. In 2004 she moved back to Dublin with her husband and son where they lived for five years. One of her accomplishments while working in Dublin was being instrumental in bringing Relay for Life to Ireland for the first time. As co-chair she helped raise over 100,000 Euro ($150,000) for cancer care and research. As the Project Manager for a Community Employment Program, she ran the Meals on Wheels program for seniors in north Dublin. It was there that her passion for seniors began. For eight years, until its closure, Deirdre was Leasing Manager/Sales Consultant at Chartwell Guildwood Retirement Residence (formerly Allegro’s Livingston Lodge). She found working this closely with seniors to be the most rewarding position she had ever held throughout her long, multi-faceted career. Her passion and commitment to help seniors downsize and transition to a new environment successfully has, and will continue to be her goal. She is delighted to join Presentation Manor’s “community of communities”.
